Estate and Trust Administration
If a person dies with or without a will, the personal representative is responsible for administering their estate. If a person dies with a trust, the trustee is responsible for administering that trust. In both instances, the party responsible must make decisions and take action with respect to the management of assets, payment of debts and taxes, and distribution of property to the intended beneficiaries. We provide legal counsel to personal representatives and trustees who are performing their duties to ensure they are acting in accordance with the law and pursuant to the instructions of the decedent and to assist them in proper and efficient administration of their loved one’s estate or trust.
